The Panama Metro is the metropolitan railroad whose network covers much of Panama City, capital of the Republic of Panama. This transportation system is managed by the state capital company Metro de Panamá S.A. It is the first system of Panamanian metropolitan railways.
The project began its construction in February 2011, driven by the government of Panama and its first line was delivered on April 4, 2014, an execution listed as a record, given the size of the work. Later, with the extension of its route and the inauguration of the last station of San Isidro, Line 1 currently has an extension of 15.8 km.
